1872 September 6th, born in Hirschberg, then Prussian province of Silesia, today Jelina Góra in Poland; father was Eugene de Lalande, a building contractor and master builder, his mother Ottilie de Lalande, born Thieme
1894 completed architecture studies at the Königlich Technischen Hochschule Charlottenburg (Royal Institute of Technology Charlottenburg), today the Technical University of Berlin;
  stints in Breslau and Glogau, today the Polish cities of Wrocław and Głogów, where he worked in the planning departments, and architectural offices in Vienna and Berlin
1901-03 lived and worked in Shanghai and Tianjin, China, together with German architect Richard Seel (1854 – 1922)
1903 moved to Yokohama, Japan, where he took over Seel's Yokohama office following Seel's return to Germany; employee Jan Letzel
1905 July 5th, married Edith Giesecke (Pietzke), lived in Negishi, Yokohama where he had his place of work
1913

appointed as „Königlich-Preußischer Baurat“ (Royal Prussian Building Officer) by the Royal Prussian Building Office in Breslau

1914

pneumonia after a business tour to Seoul, Korea
