stints in Breslau and Glogau, today the Polish cities of Wrocław and Głogów, where he worked in the planning departments, and architectural offices in Vienna and Berlin | |
1901-03 | lived and worked in Shanghai and Tianjin, China, together with German architect Richard Seel (1854 – 1922) |
1903 | moved to Yokohama, Japan, where he took over Seel's Yokohama office following Seel's return to Germany; employee Jan Letzel |
1905 | July 5th, married Edith Giesecke (Pietzke), lived in Negishi, Yokohama where he had his place of work |

appointed as „Königlich-Preußischer Baurat“ (Royal Prussian Building Officer) by the Royal Prussian Building Office in Breslau |
