worked briefly for architect Walter Gropius
1964-72 worked for the studio of Tange Kenzo, the University of Tokyo
1975 established office Taniguchi, Takamiya and Associates with Takamiya Shinsuke
1979 established Taniguchi and Associates in Tokyo
