1947 graduated in Architecture from the University of Tokyo
1947-61 worked for Mayekawa Kunio Associates, Architects & Engineers
1960

one of the seven founding members of the Metabolist group together with the architects Kikutake Kiyonori, Kurokawa Kisho, Maki Fumuhiko, the critic Kawazoe Noboru, the industrial designer Ekuan Kenji and the graphic designer Awazu Kiyoshi

1961 opens his own office in Tokyo
2010 passed away
